About Kevann A. Gardner
Kevann Gardner is an experienced trial attorney who has served clients for almost 15 years in a wide array of legal cases. He has earned the reputation as a skilled trial attorney and fierce advocate who is dedicated to winning his clients’ cases.
Mr. Gardner has dedicated his legal career to zealous advocacy, consistently delivering exceptional results for his clients. Known for his sharp legal acumen, he has built a remarkable record of success in winning complex trials in a variety of legal cases. Mr. Gardner has earned the reputation as a skilled trial attorney and fierce advocate who is dedicated to winning his clients’ cases. Before becoming the founding partner of K. Gardner Law PLLC, Mr. Gardner was a Supervising Attorney in the Trial Division of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, widely regarded as the best trial office in the country. Mr. Gardner began his legal career in New York City, where he was a passionate fighter for his clients at the Legal Aid Society in the Bronx, handling misdemeanor and felony matters.
Mr. Gardner has spent over a decade teaching and training lawyers across the nation. He currently teaches trial advocacy programs at Harvard Law School, National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the National Criminal Defense College (NCDC), the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, the Defender Institute Basic Trials Skills Program for the New York State Defenders Association, and many others. Mr. Gardner is also an adjunct professor at the American University Washington College of Law, where he currently teaches Wrongful Convictions.
Mr. Gardner was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He earned his B.A. from Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, NY. During law school, Mr. Gardner worked for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the New York State Assembly Subcommittee on Election Day Operations and Voter Disenfranchisement, and clerked for the Honorable Cheryl E. Chambers in the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court.
